It’s been a pretty incredible year! There were several events that stick out that were planned, but also some that we didn’t see coming! We got out of debt, my sister got married, we went on some fun vacations and I turned the big 3-0. But the biggest one, that I could have never seen coming when we welcomed in 2017, was our decision for me to become a stay at home mom. This decision has been the biggest blessing in our lives and I am so glad that God put things into place at exactly the right time. Here are a few of my favorite moments from 2017

I don’t typically do “resolutions” because I feel like they always get broken. But I do have a few things that I would like to accomplish this year, as well as some fun things we are looking forward to! In 2018 I’m looking forward to:
Studying the New Testament
Each year I say I want to read the Bible all the way through and I always end up slacking off and it doesn’t happen. This year my goal is to read and study the New Testament. If I finish, I will start reading the Old Testament. Maybe with a goal that’s not quite so big I will be able to accomplish it.
Learning ASL
I’ve been wanting to learn ASL for a long time now, but I now have a true reason (and motivation) to actually put in the time, money and effort to learn sign language. Many of you know that my niece, Adalynn, was born with profound hearing loss in both ears. She is scheduled for her first cochlear implant surgery in less than 2 months at just 10 months old! The cochlear implants will help her hear and through extensive therapy she should eventually learn to talk. Eventually she will learn sign language as well so that she will be able to communicate with both the hearing and the deaf culture. Y’all, this little girl is absolutely incredible and you can already tell how smart she is going to be! She is going to do really amazing things in her life and we want her to know that we are there for her no matter what. Learning ASL will show her when she’s older that we care about her and love her for who she is. I’m excited to learn a new language and to be able to communicate with deaf people. Cincinnati Ballpark Trip
If nothing else comes up between then and now, our plan is for all four of us to go to Cincinnati for our ballpark trip this year. I actually picked Cincinnati because we would like to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation museum, which are both less than an hour outside of Cincinatti. We figured if we were going to drive up and do those, we may as well make a whole trip out of it. We had not planned on doing a ball park trip this year, because we’re planning to do Disney World, but I think with our Capital One points we should be able to book the hotel for next to nothing! We are really looking forward to it!
DISNEY WORLD
Our plan is to go either the week after Thanksgiving or the first week in December to see Disney World all decked out for Christmas. We want to go this year because it will be the last chance we get to go without having to pay for Audrey. I am beyond excited and I want to start planning our itinerary now, but it’s still to far out. I’m such a Disney nerd!
That’s about all we know of for 2018, but I’m sure it will hold it’s own surprises. Each year does! I hope every one has a Happy New Year! and ROLL TIDE!
