I enjoy switching things up each year when it comes to Christmas decor. I’ve been wanting to do a sweets tree for quite some time and I finally got to make it happen this year. I was torn between a gingerbread man tree with red, green and browns or a sweets tree with bright colors. I’ve been following Turtle Creek Lane on Instagram for a while and have always been very inspired by her sweets tree, so I decided to go that route.
I found lots of colorful and candy/sweets ornaments at Hobby Lobby, and several sweets ornaments at Walmart. Raley picked out her nutcracker for this year to match the theme, and it’s so cute.
Since we went with a “land of sweets” theme for our tree, I tried to keep with the theme around the rest of the house. In the living room, I created a nutcracker village with several of the nutcrackers that Raley has collected the past several years.
I always fill our frames with pictures of the girls with Santa throughout the years. I love this picture of Raley with Santa when she was just one month old.
In the front entry way is the gingerbread village.
I changed my coffee bar into a hot cocoa bar.
I always find a spot to set up our nativity.
I let the girls decorate their own Nutcracker Ballet tree for their bedroom this year. I love how it turned out!

I love all of the colors! I realized that most of our Christmas decor is red and green plaid or tartan when I pulled everything out this year.
