When surfing Pinterest for ideas for Hannah’s nursery, I was constantly drawn to the more soft, neutral tones and sweet baby woodland animals. I decided to decorate her nursery in neutral colors (natural wood, beige, and white) with light pink and soft florals. I added some woodland animals in there as well, and I love how her nursery turned out.
Hannah’s Neutral and Pink Nursery
I did not want to have to paint the walls in her room. We weren’t sure how the big girls sharing a room would work out so we didn’t want to do anything too permanent in case we had to move things around again. I love the look of a wallpapered accent wall, but turns out that kind of wall paper is quite pricey! I decided to get removable wall decals to go behind her crib and I think it turned out beautifully.
The crib sheet and blanket are from Caden Lane and my grandmother made her pink crib skirt. The little stuffed fawn is from Elegant Baby. I made her little mobile out of ribbon.
I ordered her wooden name sign from Kobasic Creations on Etsy. It was the first thing I ordered once we finally landed on a name. Ordering this sign made it real that this was her name and it felt very special. My dad and I made the white wood piece to mount the name on out of 1/4 inch plywood.
My sister drew these little woodland creatures and they are so sweet!
We still had the changing table that we used in both Raley and Audrey’s nurseries but it was a dark wood color. We decided to have it painted white to match the rest of the furniture in the room. I found the mirror, shelves, and all the shelf decor at Hobby Lobby and it turned out perfect.
from Target. Round wood name sign from Caden Lane.
My dad and I made these floating book shelves. Wood shelf is from Hobby Lobby. from Target. Wood heart and XOXO sign from Hobby Lobby.
Beige rocker is from Wayfair from Target. It took a while to find the shade of pink that I was looking for for the curtains, but I finally found the perfect ones. They’re black out curtains, which will be great once she starts sleeping in her nursery.
David has got each of the girls a stuffed elephant as a gift when they were born. Raley’s is a grey elephant that she calls “Fonte” (short for Theodore Elephante’). Audrey’s is her beloved pink elephant “Brr.” Brr got his name from the sound an elephant makes. She knew how to say the elephant’s sound before she could say “elephant” and that’s what she ended up calling him. I love it and think it’s so cute. We found this white elephant from Lambs and Ivy and it was perfect. I’m anxious to know what Hannah will name it.
I loved the look of the and I found this one on Amazon. I found the round pink mat by chance at Marshalls and I love it underneath the play gym. Plus it’s so soft! I think she will love laying on this and playing.
I love how her nursery turned out. I can’t wait to fill her picture frames with photos from her newborn photoshoot!
