It’s hard to believe Hannah has been with us for six weeks already. She has turned our world around in the best way. I spend the majority of my days holding her and staring at her. We are all obsessed! Today I’d like to share a what we’ve been up to lately (which is not all that much), Halloween shenanigans, and some cute baby pictures.
We went with a small group of families from church on a pumpkin patch outing mid-October. I was only about 2.5 weeks postpartum and this little outing took more out of me than I was expecting. I was starting to feel better, so I was all for getting out of the house, but I’ll admit, I was beat! I’m glad we went because it was nice to catch up with friends we hadn’t seen in quite some time and the girls had a blast. I just wish I could have been more present and enjoyed it a little more.
We also had the opportunity to attend our church’s “Trail of Treats,” which is a favorite annual activity of ours. We always look forward to dressing up and the girls love trick or treating around the parking lot. This year was different, of course, with everyone who was handing out candy wearing masks.
The girls have been talking about dressing up as the Sanderson sisters since last Halloween and I’m so glad we were able to make it happen this year. We even got to add a little baby Binx to our Hocus Pocus crew, and she was the cutest little kitty cat I’ve ever seen. Audrey was cracking me up with her “Winifred face” and Raley looked just like a mini Sarah Jessica Parker. It was perfect!
On Halloween night we hosted a small get together with our immediate family. We did a lap of trick or treating, which took about 45 minutes, then had chili for dinner, followed by apple dump cake and hot cider for dessert. It has become a tradition to host our families on Halloween night, eat some sort of soup/chili for dinner, and watch Hocus Pocus. This time we actually watched Hocus Pocus while we were getting ready since the Alabama football game was on that evening.
The girls spent the rest of the evening sorting through candy and doing Halloween crafts that my mom brought for them.
Now for some cute baby pictures. I can’t stop taking pictures of her because she’s just so cute. She’ll make a cute face and I’ll have to take a picture. She’ll fall asleep and I’ll take a picture. She’ll move her hands the tiniest bit and I’ll take a picture. Big sisters will hold her and I’ll take a picture.
Big sisters are just infatuated with her. They’re all the time wanting to be in her face, kissing her, talking to her. It’s a little much sometimes, but it’s very sweet.
We’re pretty obsessed and I’m already bidding time to slow down. I love this tiny baby and her snuggles are the highlight of my day. I’m not ready to move on to the next stage and I want to soak up this newborn stage for as long as I possibly can.
Let’s chat
