The Best Party Punch Recipe

While doing some behind the scenes, back end work on this site recently, I realized that I’ve used this particular party punch recipe for almost every party I’ve ever hosted, but I’ve never shared the recipe. Back in some older posts, I shared the link where I originally found the recipe, but it seems that the link is no longer working. I had to make sure this perfect party punch recipe got out there, so I’m sharing it here today!

The Best Party Punch Recipe

This punch is made with three simple ingredients – frozen lemonade, pineapple juice and Sundrop. If you’re unfamiliar with Sundrop, it’s a soft drink made in the south that is similar to Mt. Dew and it’s so, so good! If Sundrop is unavailable in your area, you can substitute Mt. Dew (I’ve made this with caffeine free Mt. Dew before for baby showers and it turns out great.)

The sweetness of the pineapple juice combined with the tartness of the lemonade and carbonation of the Sundrop makes for a perfectly delightful combination. I’m always amazed at how quickly this punch disappears.

If you were to browse through my party posts, you’d see this punch featured at probably 75% of parties I’ve hosted. I even turned it green for my daughter’s Wizard of Oz first birthday party and called it “Melted Witch Punch.” If you wanted pink, you could sub pink lemonade and ginger ale.

Ingredients

• 2 - 46oz cans pineapple juice
• 2 - 12oz cans frozen lemonade
• 3 two liter bottles Sundrop

Instructions

1. Mix frozen lemonade and pineapple juice together in large pitcher
2. Add Sundrop just before serving and mix well

Note - This punch can be prepared the day before, but wait until just before serving to add the Sundrop. If you add it too early, it can get flat and it won't taste as bubbly and fresh. Also, if all of the punch won't fit in your punch bowl or drink dispenser, pour in half of your lemonade mixture and half of your Sundrop to make sure the ratio is correct. Refill as needed.
