Another month has come and gone, so it’s time to share all of my Happy Planner spreads for the past month. I got a tad lazy this month so some of my spreads look a bit different than they typically do (which I’m totally ok with.) I try not to put too much pressure on myself to have it looking perfect and if it doesn’t get done at all, that’s ok too.
Happy Planner Spreads – August 2018
I love blue and yellow together, and since this was the last month of summer break, I decided to use my Squad Goals summer girls for my monthly spread. It’s been so bright and happy to turn to throughout the month.
This is the first week I filled out my planner before decorating it. I was going to leave it plain, but I ended up deciding to stick a few stickers on there. I used the Squad Goals sticker pack again for this week.
For this week I was inspired by all the sweets and colorful stickers. I loved the popsicles and ice cream cones and cotton candy!
Whenever I’m feeling uninspired as to how to decorate a spread, I always go with black – and I always LOVE it! I either do black and white, black and gold, or black with another brighter color.
This one was a mix of random stickers from several different books and honestly I don’t remember where they all came from! I know the LOVE sticker and the blue and pink stickers on Saturday came from a Seasonal sticker book (876 piece). The others, I’m not so sure about.
I’ve had this Color Story sticker book since January and I’ve been hoarding these stickers but I’m not sure why. I LOVE these colors! They are different and hard to match with other stickers from other books, but I had everything I needed from this book. Of all the books I have, I think this one is my favorite. So many cute collections in this one book! I actually bought a new one a few days ago because I’ve used up most of my first one.
Because of the way the weeks fell this month, there were actually 5 weeks of spreads instead of 4. I hope you enjoyed them. I mentioned in my July post that sometimes I swap out my pages for a vertical layout instead. I have 3 more months worth of vertical layouts, so I think I’m going to save them for the last three months of the year. I’ll stick with horizontal for September. By trying both this year I have found that I enjoy using a vertical spread more than the horizontal, which actually surprises me! But hey, you never know you like something until you try it! Next year I will definitely be getting a planner with a vertical layout.
If you use the Happy Planner, which layout do you prefer? What are your favorite colors to decorate your planner with?
