Wizard of Oz has always been one of my favorite movies so when I saw the adorable Oz line by Genuine Kids at Target I HAD to snatch up a few pieces! Then I went back for more. Then I thought how cute would it be to do an Oz inspired family photo shoot this year? Not necessarily dressed like characters, but with pops of color from the Wizard of Oz. I ran this idea by our photographer and she said she knew of the perfect brick road at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. She could even make it look yellow!
They turned out perfectly! I love that the trees and bushes are lining the walkway. It reminds me of when Dorothy, Scarecrow and Tin Man follow the yellow brick road into the forest.
In this first set of photos Audrey wore this green dress that reminded me of the Emerald City. Raley wore this open sleeve top with poppies on it. *The entire Oz line is on clearance at Target.com so if you’re interested be sure to snatch them up now!
So here they are! All photos by Elles Photography Studios.
These are the first dresses I bought. I gave Raley a choice between the blue and white “Dorothy” dress or the green dress with all the characters and I was a little surprised when she picked the green one. They both looked adorable! (The blue and white dress must be sold out because I can’t find it anywhere!)
Those blue eyes! |
All the ? for this little Dorothy in her ruby slippers on a yellow brick road! |
If you’re in the North Alabama area looking for a photographer, give Danielle with Elles Photography Studios a call! She’s done our photos since Raley was 6 months old and she does such a wonderful job!
