I can’t believe tomorrow is two months since my little sister married the man of her dreams! I am so excited to finally be posting about their wedding!
*Warning: Picture overload! Professional photos by Whitney Briscoe Photography. Others from my iPhone. (You’ll be able to tell the difference!) They did a beautiful job capturing her big day.
Kayla Beth and Jayce got married at Meadow Creek Farm, which was absolutely breathtaking. The ceremony was outside by the water and the reception was inside a beautiful, rustic barn.
They have a beautiful dressing area, which made getting ready so easy and fun! I loved wearing these soft, lightweight robes! They were part of our bridesmaids gifts from KB.
Helping my sister into her dress was one of my favorite parts of the entire day! I’d looked forward to this day for so long and seeing her all dolled up in her dress brought a wave of emotions. It was hard to accept that she’s really big enough to be getting married. I used to dress her up like my life-size Barbie doll, how could I already be buttoning her into her wedding dress?
As I stated in this post, I love when the Mother of the bride gets to put the veil on the bride. This was a sweet, memorable moment as well.
As for the flower girls…they were troopers. Sure they got fussy here and there, they weren’t thrilled about taking pictures, and we were all very nervous they wouldn’t make it down the aisle, but everything turned out fine. They made it down the aisle and they were adorable.
Kayla Beth and Jayce did a first look before the ceremony. The pictures turned out so good and I know this was a sweet moment for the two of them!
Beautiful bridal party and family pics!
The ceremony was outside by the water and the aisle was under this gorgeous wooden arbor.
My favorite part of a wedding ceremony is watching the groom as he sees his bride walk down the aisle. Jayce’s reaction was so sweet and his love for her is so evident.
Our dad makes the best chocolate shakes so for Kayla Beth and Jayce’s toast they asked him to make them milkshakes. Of course he said yes.
I was super nervous about making a toast, but I ended up making it through. So did Caitlin, KB’s best friend and Maid of Honor. I am so very thankful for Caitlin and the wonderful friend she is to my sister.
There is a covered area behind the barn, which is where many people have their wedding ceremony. Since they had their ceremony outside they used this area to set up several games and a photo booth for guests to enjoy. Who says you can’t have fun at a wedding without alcohol?
I loved the back of our Vera Wang dresses! Probably my favorite bridesmaid’s dress I’ve ever worn. I loved everything about it – the piece down the back, the bows, the pockets, the slit in the front which made it easy to walk, the sash!
